NN Investment Partners has announced the appointment of Adrie Heinsbroek, Faryda Lindeman and Johan van der Lugt to the firm’s newly established Responsible Investment team. They will drive the further development of responsible investing at NN IP and support all investment teams in their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration and engagement activities. The team will report directly to Hans Stoter, Chief Investment Officer at NN IP.
Adrie Heinsbroek joins NN IP as Head of the Responsible Investment team, charged with representing NN IP externally; advising the firm’s clients on responsible investment policies and needs, and upholding the strong momentum within NN IP regarding ESG integration throughout research, portfolio construction and risk management of all strategies. He has over 20 years’ of experience in the field of sustainability and ESG integration. Previously, Heinsbroek worked for ING Bank Belgium where he was Head of Sustainability. Other past roles included Senior Sustainability Advisor for ING Bank in the Netherlands as well as Senior Analyst/Strategist for Responsible Investments at the ING Investment Office.
Faryda Lindeman takes on the role of Senior Corporate Governance Specialist and joins NN IP from Sustainalytics, a global leader in ESG and Corporate Governance research and ratings, where she was managing the Corporate Governance Research team. Her previous roles have included Advisor Responsible Investment and Governance at MN and team leader at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS).
Johan van der Lugt will coordinate NN IP’s ongoing commitment to continually enhance ESG integration within the firm’s investment process as Senior ESG Specialist. He joins NN IP from Robeco, where he was a Senior Equity Analyst for Global Financials with a deep interest in corporate governance and ESG integration. Johan was a member of the Research Committee of Eumedion, the Dutch Corporate Governance platform, and has also served in senior investment positions at Daiwa Capital Markets, ING Group, ABN AMRO and McKinsey.
Today’s announcement reflects NN IP’s commitment to responsible investing, ESG integration and active ownership, which will be the key focus of this newly founded team. This focus will benefit NN IP’s clients in multiple ways.
