BNP Paribas makes changes in research and sustainability departments

BNP Paribas has announced some changes to its Research and sustainability departments.

Amine Bel Hadj Soulami will now be fully dedicated to the Sustainability business, as Global Head of Sustainable Investments for Global Markets, Securities Services, and Financial Institutions Coverage.

The BNP Paribas 2020 development plan announced in March 2017 makes a commitment to delivering innovative sustainable finance and investment solutions to clients, and accompanying them in the energy transition towards a low carbon economy. Sustainability is also one of the four enablers of the CIB 2020 strategy and within Global Markets BNP Paribas helps clients issue green bonds, build ethical equity indices and develop innovative structures including equity-linked green bonds.

Amine will report to Olivier Osty, Executive Head of Global Markets, BNP Paribas.

Olivia Frieser has been appointed Global Head of Research, Global Markets, BNP Paribas.

Olivia’s wealth of experience will be instrumental in driving the delivery of leading research content to our clients. With 20 years’ experience in the industry, Olivia has held a variety of senior positions at BNP Paribas, including Global Head of Credit Research, and most recently, Global Head of Credit Trading Desk Analysts. In her new role, Olivia will report to Beat von Gunten, Head of Institutional Sales, EMEA, BNP Paribas.

James Sparrow assumes Olivia’s previous responsibilities as Head of Credit Trading Desk Analysts in Europe and Asia reporting to Benjamin Jacquard, Global Co-Head of Primary & Credit Markets, BNP Paribas.

Richard Edelman continues with his responsibilities as US Head of Credit Trading Desk Analysts.
